COVID-19 Pandemic Plan

Please see the details of our COVID-19 plan below detailing the precautions we are taking to mitigate the spread of this virus. As of today, no GX team member has been affected or come into direct contact with the virus. Being an 'Essential Service' as deemed by the Government of Canada, we are doing everything in our power to ensure the safe transport of supplies and products throughout the North American supply chain during this global pandemic.

  • Effective March 13th, a large portion of our office staff, will be working remotely and we will continue to monitor and expand on remote working options as appropriate until further notice.
    • This action will minimize the human traffic/interaction and mitigate any exposure in the terminal
    • Reduce the consumption of antibacterial supplies at the GX terminal
  • We have canceled all non-essential meetings and locked down all man-doors within the terminal so that no visitors can enter the building without the escort of a GX employee.
    • Our people will be relying on electronic communications rather than face to face meetings.
  • We have sent a video to all drivers demonstrating how to disinfect trucks before and after every use properly.
  • We have adjusted our truck key process and duplicated all truck keys previously shared among drivers to mitigate the spread via surface contact.
  • We have asked all drivers to respect any newly posted customer processes and not to enter into any customer facilities unless required and, if so, to minimize contact whenever possible.
  • We have sent a video to all drivers on the above items in addition to one-on-one phone conversations.
  • We have imposed travel restrictions on all employees and implemented a return to work policy.
  • We have posted the policy of a preventative measure for each GX team member, including proper hand sanitation, avoiding large crowds, keeping a distance of 1.5 meters from other people whenever possible and reporting any symptoms or exposure before reporting to work.

If there is any further information you require on this matter please email gxsales@gxts.com. We will be issuing regular communications while we continue to monitor this situation closely.
